My First Shakeology Share!

This was me a year ago. Liz and I are both still drinking Shakeology today, along with a whole bunch of family and friends.

It’s curbed our cravings, given us energy to LIVE life with our toddler boys, and tastes great.

Talk about an easy way to get all your veggies for the day in one serving!

There are tons of recipes and a new flavor was just introduced at our coach summit this week.

Liz looks even more amazing now then she did then.

Send me a note if you have any questions!

Happy Friday! (As I enjoy my chocolate-y all natural breakfast today…)

Cleaning Lady and a Babysitter

Stay at home mom/business owner/nanny.

That’s me in a nutshell.

But…I’m working on my personal trainer certifications and working my business every day?

How does one accomplish GOALS and be the best MOM to her child(ren)?

Well, it took me some time to realize this…but being the best mom meant DELEGATING some tasks.

Top two things I have done in the last 6 months that have made me be able to stay on top of everything:

1. Hire a cleaning lady

2. Hire a babysitter

I grew up with that mentality that you don’t hire anyone for something that you can do all by yourself. Well, there are only 24 hours in a day, and if I want to do what’s MOST important to me, then something has to give.

I have learned that the amount of work and quality of work that can be accomplished while you are paying someone to do the little things for you will be more than worth the $ you spend.

I have a high school girl that we know and trust come twice a week for 2 hours in the afternoon. She plays with Anthony while I go down the hall in a study room and study for my certifications and work on my business.

I just can’t do that with A around. IMPOSSIBLE

The time I have knowing that Kelly is coming every other week to clean is fabulous too. Instead of Anthony climbing on me while I get up to clean the high cabinets or trailing behind me begging to use the dustbuster vacuum, I can spend that time playing with him.

Take a look at your goals and priorities.

What can you delegate out so that you can be a better spouse/parent, etc?

If you are in the Chicagoland area and want a referral for a cleaning lady, let me know. She’s a friend of mine from college.

Have You Eaten Your Frog Yet This Week?

Brian Tracy is the author of Eat That Frog.

In his book he talks about time management, getting more done, and having more time to do what what’s most important to each individual on any given day.

I have incorporated many of his strategies into my every day life and what a difference it has made. He particularly talks about putting your biggest, ugliest, “i don’t want to do that” task first on your list of things to accomplish in the day. Take care of that before anything else. When you do, the rest of your day is a piece of cake.

We find that we can accomplish anything, and honestly, have accomplished more, by having done that task rather than just crossing off the little things on our list that mean little or nothing.

Earlier in the week I ate a HUGE frog! I was a teacher before our son Anthony was born 2 years ago. After having him, there was no doubt in my mind I wanted to be a stay at home mom.

I found Team Beachbody offered home business opportunities, and decided since I have had great results with their products, would love getting discounts on their products, and I didn’t have to carry inventory or have to hold home parties away from my already busy schedule, this was a no brainer.

I have enjoyed it so much that I want to expand working in this field. I thought about registering to get certified as a personal trainer.

That was awhile ago.

It was on my list, but I kept putting it off. Not this week.

First thing Monday morning…I registered for ACE personal trainer certification! Boy, what a great way to start the week!

So, my question to you is….what’s your frog? What is it that you have been putting off that will really make a difference once you take care of it? When will you accomplish it?

Do you write your goals down on paper weekly? Do you write a daily to do list? Does it just have tasks on it like: groceries, gas, laundry, pick up Johnny from soccer? Or does it contain those, plus tasks that will really move you in a positive direction towards your goals in life?

If you’d like, feel free to send me your frog. Often times, getting it down in writing really helps us stay accountable. It did for me!

If any of you are interested in more information with the income opportunities with Team Beachbody (and the 25% discount) send me a note too. I’m happy to help you.

Welcome!

Welcome to my page!

I was a tumblr gal, but realized that Word Press would better suite me. I appreciate you following me over here!

I’ve been married to my husband for almost 5 years and right now we have 1 two-year old son, Anthony. I am blest to be a stay at home mom working a health and fitness home business from home.

My Family

Before I had Anthony, I was an elementary school teacher. I received my masters in educational leadership, and actually served as interim principal in the fall of 2010 for the school I previously worked at while my former boss was on her maternity leave.

I like to combine the worlds of education and fitness into motherhood. I apply what I can from my classroom to my home to broaden Anthony’s horizons.

I love sharing health and fitness with others. I was a softball player in college, but the work world and grad school brought out the stress in me, and helped me stack on pounds.

After having Anthony, I decided to kick it into gear. We found out when he was 4 months old that he had many food allergies. I changed my diet, and lost 20+ pounds doing Chalean Extreme home fitness program.

I’m in better shape now than ever in my life. I am here to share my tips and strategies to help YOU combine the worlds of education and fitness as well as keep myself accountable for being healthy!

This is going to be a fabulous ride! Off we go!
